THE ROLE

  • Collaborate with Directors to manage and coordinate administration for experiential programs
  • Lead Global Education Information Sessions, including evening, inperson, and online presentations
  • Coordinate room bookings and arrange additional items for global experiential group meetings
  • Represent the Global Education department at the monthly On-Campus Events Review meeting
  • Develop and communicate upcoming events and achievements to the Appleby Community
  • Ensure accurate tracking of student participation in Global Education programs with the IT department
  • Liaise with the Health Centre to ensure complete and effective participant trip lists and health information for all Global Education programs
  • Organize ground transportation for Global Education programs with the Coordinator, Transportation and Travel
  • Coordinate projects associated with the Global Education programs as they arise and oversee management of thank you gifts for hosts of Global Experiential programs
  • Coordinate equipment, rental needs, and billing for all Global Education programs
  • Maintain a participant and alumni database for Global Education programs
  • Manage and maintain tracking of milestones for the Global Leadership Diploma program for all students
  • Manage and Coordinate materials and scheduling for Global Leadership Diploma Global Action Plan presentations and student report printing
  • Develop and maintain content for all Global Education online information sites
  • Maintain the archive of past Global Experiential programs
  • Respond to general inquiries in the Global Education department
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director, Outdoor Education with administration needs for the Outdoor Education program and enter schoolrelated absences into attendance for students involved with Global Education programs
  • Complete online certification to become a Duke of Edinburgh Award Leader
  • Assist the Coordinator, Duke of Edinburgh with the administrative needs of the award program for Appleby College students as well as support the Duke of Edinburgh Ambassadors
  • Provide support and training to ensure effective use of Duke of Edinburgh external platforms and processes
  • Responsible for Appleby College flag policies and processes
  • Develop systems to improve the effectiveness and functionality of processes in the Global Education Office

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration or relevant program is preferred
  • 3 years of proven experience in Travel Management is required
  • Experience in Event Planning is an asset
  • Strong technical and information management skills is necessary
  • Experience working with a variety of external organizations and agencies is essential
  • Flexible schedule is required as the events demand, including the ability to work evenings and weekends when required
  • Good understanding and sensitivity to World Geography, Politics, Cultures
