The Line Manager - Exports will be accountable for developing and maintaining relationships, with our principles, local colleagues, and all partners in the Canadian supply chain.

The line manager will be required to promote their respective trade, through trade meetings, industry events and simple partner meetings and is expected at all times to represent the organization in poised and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the growth of the trade they oversee.
Create strategies, build projects and initiatives that support the growth and direction/long term objective.
Understand market to provide accurate analysis and forecasting (short and long term), using supporting internal systems, which will assist in delivering required targets and KPI's.
Attend required business functions, to promote and represent the commercial team of MSC Canada and further build our market presence within the Canadian market.
Additional tasks may be added or removed based on departmental needs.

Qualifications

Individual must be organized, decisive, ability to prioritize and adapt/ be flexible in a constantly changing market.
Possess a strong analytical and strategic mind, with an abstract view/approach.
Demonstrates welldeveloped negotiation and interpersonal skills, leading and driving collaboration between the needed stakeholders.
Completed Bachelors.
Previous experience within the transportation/shipping industry (5+ years preferred).
Previous oversight of sizeable commercial scope in revenue.
Advanced Excel and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Out of Gauge, Break bulk and Project Cargo will be an asset.
