IT Data Operations - Data Engineer

The person will be responsible for leading and implementing creation of data structures in Veolia WTS Data Platform (Data Lake & Data Warehouse).

They will be focused on integrating with business data roles (Data Process Owner, Data Stewards, Data Owners) to ensure that the data structures that are developed meets the ultimate needs of the business.

The engineer would be the key expert in the overall solutions and technologies dedicated to the Data Platform.

Duties & Responsibilities

Be the vessel of expertise of ETL and ELT technologies, leveraging them to deliver data structures into the Data Platform

Identify and create a set of accepted design patterns to employ across the data platform

Collaborate with architecture teams, data, and business team members to ensure delivery of data structures, to meet business and technology needs

Collaborate and influence with solutions teams, to deploy future solutions, with ability to scale up

Embrace design thinking, storytelling and translating insights into decisions and actions
Work in an agile project environment with a high pace delivery of results and outputs

Hard Skills
Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL
Experience with data analysis and manipulation tools such as Pandas, NumPy

Education & Experience

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
2 years' experience in IT or a related field

Preferred (if applicable):
Preferred global experience
Working Conditions (Specify % of travel involved if applicable, physical conditions, interaction with
any hazardous material, work environment, etc.)
Annual Travel at 10%
