As we continue to grow our Technology team, we are seeking an experienced
Configuration Management Analyst to join our IT team.

Reporting directly the Manager, Infrastructure Planning, you will leverage your strong experience and understanding of Configuration Management Databases to contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the organization's IT infrastructure.

Currently we are implementing the Next Generation 9-1-1 as part of a technological upgrade from analogical systems to digital.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, traceability, and stability of Configuration Items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle by managing operational aspects of system configurations and identifying, controlling, recording, reporting and maintaining the quality of the configuration items in partnership with the Manager of Infrastructure Planning.


We seeking a highly collaborative individual who can act as a champion for the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integration within IT service management practices, ensuring a central, reliable source of configuration data.


Key to this role will be the ability to coordinate the audit processes for the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to verify compliance, ensure accuracy, address discrepancies, and uphold data integrity.

You will also be responsible for acting as the liaison between change management, project management, testing and other IT functions to align database utilization with operational needs.


What you will bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience with IT configuration management processes and tools, with a focus on CMDB management or related areas within IT infrastructure
  • Proficiency with ITIL V3 or higher, either through working experience and/or ITIL Certification
  • Certification in Configuration Management or related areas is an asset
  • Indepth knowledge of CMDB design, development, and maintenance within complex IT environments
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise level CMDB implementations and IT service management tools such as ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information effectively across various organizational levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building relationships and fostering teamwork
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process mapping, including software and other tools
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in evaluating IT configurations and managing database complexities
**This role requires the ability to provide after-hours support as needed to maintain service excellence (paid).

Security Requirements:


As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained.

This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm.

The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is five [5] years.


Vaccination Policy:
E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
