The Role:

The Site coordinator is responsible for the management of all exterior construction activities on site and foundation program.

The Site Coordinator oversees onsite coordination of the excavation, foundation, backfill, delivery of foundations to ABIC, coordination of community completion items to complete the lot and assumption by the city.


Key Responsibilities:


Foundations Program

  • For the project, Schedule and coordination of excavation, foundation, UG plumbing, UG electrical contractors and surveyor to ensure excavation through backfill meets scope and quality for the handoff to ABIC
  • Review of cut sheets for accuracy and make amendments where appropriate
  • Schedule and sign off on completed construction tasks on OLS throughout excavation to backfill process
  • Notify the Site Administrator to schedule any city inspections as needed
  • Inspect and turnover foundations to ABIC on time, with no deficiencies
  • Oversee the earthworks management for lots with base conditions during foundation excavation
  • Coordinate secondary frost measures program as needed
  • Provide feedback on trade performance to the Manager, Permits & Foundations
  • Assist in preparation of construction budgets (project blue sheets)
  • Filing relevant documentation and ensuring archives are being kept up to date where applicable
  • Assist in development of department policies and procedures
  • Request PO's for approval as required
  • Produce weekly heat maps
  • Other duties as required

Community Completion

  • Coordinate snow removal contract and street sweeping activities
  • Schedule, coordinate and inspect curb and Sidewalk programs for summer season
  • Schedule, coordinate, inspect and signoff on driveway installation
  • Schedule, coordinate and sign off on OLS sodding of lots
  • Schedule and coordinate F1 inspections for tree installation
  • Schedule and communicate top coat asphalt program
  • Procure F2 for trees after 1 year warranty has expired and submit to the city
  • Report any deviations to contracts with financial implications for payment approval
  • Liaise with service department to trouble shoot and solve customer related construction issues where applicable
  • Coordination with construction, homeowners, city etc to facilitate above ground activities.
  • Communicate internally to provide notices prior to above ground works
  • Liaise and coordinate with Sales and marketing for all site related construction work
  • Seek security release/assumption when appropriate for streets and open space areas
  • Coordinate with service to achieve final occupancy
  • Produce weekly community completion maps
  • Other duties as required

You will bring:


  • College Diploma related to Construction Engineering Technician, Civil Engineering Technology, or similar field
years of experience in a similar role within a development or construction environment

  • Analytical and detailoriented with a keen focus on producing accurate and high caliber work
  • Excellent communication and analytical problemsolving skills
  • Selfmotivated and excels both in a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency working in Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Excel, and SharePoint programs
  • The ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • A willingness to support the team as required and work in a collaborative manner
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Requires a vehicle with a G class driving permit
