JOB SUMMARY


The Assistant, Office of Rick Hansen (ORH), will assist the ORH team on day-to-day tasks and special projects as needed.

This position will report to the Accessible Outdoors Coordinator and provide support to the Director, ORH.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Main duties, but not limited to the following:

  • Accessible Outdoors Program research;
  • Potential funding sources in BC and Canada
  • Services offered
  • Types of equipment available to support accessibility in the outdoors
  • Stories of people accessing outdoors
  • Funders for People with Disabilities research;
  • Home renovations
  • Health and Wellness equipment and supplies
  • Attendant Care
  • Mobility equipment
  • Communication equipment
  • Accessibility
  • Track activity and correspondence in SalesForce;
  • Enter data of RHF contacts in SalesForce;
  • Monitor daily news of activity relating to RHF and tracking noteworthy items;
  • Support with events as needed;
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned or provide additional assistance to the GR team.

PREFERENCES

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and written;
  • High degree of professionalism and strict adherence to maintaining confidentiality and privacy;
  • MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel experience an asset;
  • Salesforce experience an asset;
  • Strong technical skills with ability to maintain excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment; and
  • Excellent capacity to stay organized, prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.
