The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a
Data Specialist for our Dufresne Merchandising Team within our
Home Office located at
147 Commerce Drive in
Winnipeg, MB.**As a Data Specialist you will be responsible for the compliance and maintenance of the TDG standards and intake product information from the merchandising team.

In this role, you will assist in completing data-related projects and the merchandising team's goals in optimizing product data.

As the Data Specialist you will:

  • Ensure accurate data upload of all product information using data received from the Category team.
  • Create and maintain product SKUs to the category standards for multiple Brands while ensuring the items in the Product Information Management (PIM) adhere to the data governance rules.
  • Complete all datarelated needs in PIM, such as reviewing and correcting errors, vendor mapping for SKU creation, and web review.
  • Maintain integrity as the volume of data captured grows over time.
  • Organize and upload photography assets to Cloudinary and update the website to reflect product information provided in the PIM, image order, and other variances such as colours and finishes.
  • Support with all data requests and projects.
  • Work on data cleanup of historical data as needed.
  • Provide the merchandising team with Ashley Furniture Industries (AFI) processing status/web copy status.
  • Maintain vendor creation, vendor maintenance, and margin targets in Product Data Management (PDM.)
  • Support in developing the department's performance against continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, or Mathematics.
  • 13 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn inhouse programs.
  • Analytical and critical thinker.
  • High attention to detail and prioritization skills.
  • Creative problem solving, ability to think outside of the box/troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
