About the Position
The Maintenance Technician position will maintain all equipment to required standards, be responsive to line calls, provide support for preventative and failure based maintenance as required by the plant needs.
Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.Duties and Responsibilities
- Works within and promotes established safety standards and practices
- Troubleshoots mechanical failures
- Repairs and rebuilds pumps
- Maintains conveyors and auger systems
- Demonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Recommends changes, modifications or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance
- Reads equipment drawings and documents
- Documents work, modifications to equipment, etc.
- Communicates well both in writing and verbally
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A high degree of mechanical competence supported by several years of mechanical experience
- Creativity in problem solving is required
- Good communication skills, and able to work under time constraints
- Must be adaptable, dependable and a selfstarter
- The person shall possess a demonstrated strong work ethic
- Applicant must have regular, punctual attendance

- Previous mechanical experience

Additional Information
- Must be able and willing to work overtime, and respond to callins
- Must be willing to work some weekends or holidays as required
- This role requires climbing stairs, performing some lifting, sitting and standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, working with heights, bending and kneeling
