Core Purpose and Essence of the Position:
The warehouse associate plays an important role in all the warehouse functions starting from inflow of the products till the time products leaves the warehouse to ensure a smooth transition.
The shift is Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The basic jobs for the warehouse associate are to support the operations by offloading, receiving, labelling, auditing, and pallet wrapping all inbound freight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving the products into the warehouse from the inbound, checking vendor name and order number from the system.
- Checking the cartons and building the skids.
- Scan the boxes and put UPC numbers on the boxes.
- Posting the labels on the carts, boxes and scan them.
- Separating the orders for express, same day and long orders.
- Using the RF scanner to check the items for the boxes and locating the rows where they can be found.
- Efficiently pick customer orders, ensuring order accuracy and locate to the processing area.
- Matching the order numbers in the scanner and process shipment.
- Separating the express orders and night orders.
- Checking the products and box sizes and counting the number of products.
- Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned.
- Follow and maintain a safe work environment which also includes housekeepingProcess Returns as required.
- Accountable for overseeing manpower, recruiting, retention, and development of people for the operation in his/her scope of responsibility
- Ensures that procedures exist at all sites to guarantee client service, productivity, as well as facilities and equipment maintenance
- Sets goals to provide continuous improvement for assigned site
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- Able to read and count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate RF Scanners as needed.
- The ability to follow directions is extremely important.
- Internally motivated, selfstarter with ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to meet goals and achieve results.
- A positive work attitude and the ability to work within a team environment.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Mobility and lifting in accordance with OHSA regulations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position may require extended periods of standing and walking and be capable of heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
