    What you'll do

    Candidate selection, interviews and hiring will take place continuously from this single posting - this means while there is a
    closing date listed, hiring managers will regularly review applications submitted shortly after the posting is live in your Co-op

    Students invited to interview will receive more detail of the specific position during the interview.

    We are looking for team-oriented Co-op students who demonstrates strong research, analytical, stakeholder engagement
    and problem-solving skills. As a member of one of BC Hydro's business unit teams, the candidates will be responsible for
    supporting various analytical research projects and initiatives.


    Key responsibilities:

    Activities may include:
    conducting business analysis; initiating and engaging with stakeholders; gathering, preparing and
    presenting data for review; drafting reports and findings; record management support; project tracking; and supporting
    project teams, as needed.

    The student will learn about the utility industry and be given the opportunity to develop skillsets in the following areas:
    process improvement, data analysis and stakeholder engagement presenting and facilitating information and findings,
    project management, developing analytical/strategic thinking, and problem solving.

    What you bring

    To qualify as a candidate, individual's must be enrolled in the Co-op Program and have yet to graduate from a recognized
    post-secondary institution in Canada.
    Strong research, analytical, project management, report writing and presentation skills.
    Experience and interest in business analysis projects, as well as analyzing and presenting data and findings to project
    team members.
    Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint).
    Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills and the ability to
    work efficiently, independently and in a team environment.
    Having completed accounting courses and having experience with Power Query/Power BI, Tableau or programming
    languages such as Python or R would be an asset.

    What we offer

    As a condition of employment at BC Hydro, a background check clearance will be required.

    All positions will be hired first as a four month work term. For some positions, there is opportunity to extend, to eight
    months.

    Students are expected to work at the job location for their co-op role and it is the student's responsibility to relocate
    themselves if necessary.
