The Opportunity


Your Challenge:

  • SC support for all PDR's and CDR's for new product development (Preliminary/ Critical Design review) and work with the technical team to support cost targets as well as pricing for highcost components.
  • Function as project lead for all Contract manufacturing, machined supplier transactions, intercompany work transfers and set up PRR's (Product readiness reviews)
  • Project management and coordinating with intercompany plants on intercompany transfers from contract manufacturers to internal manufacturing.
  • Working with the Operations team identify, evaluate, implement, and monitor valueadded Distributor services that can be leveraged to improve efficiencies, delivery and optimize total cost.
  • Working in conjunction with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.
  • Lead in conjunction with Quality, QBR's with all key portfolio suppliers, partnering with other Curtiss Wright functions/departments to consolidate inputs, drive key messages, and identify and manage corrective action plans.
  • Work with Quality department to support PCB/ PWB mechanical issues and participate in supplier site audits as required.
  • Participate and function as the PCB/ PWB team member and provide SC support as needed for all sites and manage SCM activities for multiple sites.
  • Create QBR reports and review with senior management, quality and purchasing.
  • Lead Cost negotiations for highcost components and initiate long term contracts to secure pricing.
  • Conduct new supplier research and development activities and drive supplier approvals.
  • Own the PWB/ PCB procurement specification document to keep up with technology changes and flow downs to suppliers and initiate necessary revision updates as needed on Agile/Oracle platform.
  • Act as point of escalation for vendorrelated issues, using influence and negotiation skills working with various functions both internally and externally to find creative solutions that will meet Curtiss Wright's business needs.
  • Define, establish, and execute new process to enable Supply Chain proactive engagement with business units to support new product roadmap costing.

Your Expertise:

SKILLS

  • Solid organization skills with the ability to manage strategic, operational, and tactical responsibilities in a "roll up the sleeves" handson culture focused on delivering results.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and collaboration, with the ability to develop and sustain strong relationships at all levels with internal peers and partners, as well as suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and a talent in seeking out relevant benchmarking and other data to build compelling pricing arguments and business cases.
  • Strong background in PCB manufacturing and machined assemblies
  • Excellent understanding of Electronics and manufacturing assembly
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, IPC 600 and IPC 610 Class 3 certifications
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record in successfully concluding and executing vendor agreements structured to meet corporate objectives.
  • Previous working experience in Project Management and work transferring.
  • Outstanding negotiation abilities, critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
  • Team player both amongst all various Curtiss-Wright departments as well as relationship building with external providers.
  • Great communication, interpersonal and networking skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Supply Management including commodity sourcing, negotiating, and management.
  • Experience in sourcing and procurement with Electronics, Machining, and knowledge of PWB/ PCB
  • Experience in Distributor engagements strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing supply chain in compliance with AS9100 requirements.
  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing knowledge / experience will be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of SAP desired
  • Degree in Science, Business Administration or Engineering preferred.
The position is to be based in Ottawa and will report to the Sr. Director, Supply chain management.

25% travel required and must meet CGP, ITAR requirements.
