    Description

    Brandt is currently hiring for a Machine Operator role at our Manufacturing Facility in Saskatoon. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running CNC cutting machines such as plasma and laser, and handling related maintenance tasks.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • - Program simple cuts on the Machine
    • - Operate and maintain plasma and laser cutting equipment efficiently
    • - Adhere to the production schedule for the machine
    • - Immediately report any programming/software issues to the supervisor or programmer
    • - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to Brandt standards
    • - Available for various shifts as per workload demands
    • - Work overtime when necessary
    • - Ensure the machine is always in optimal working condition
    • - Achieve efficient material flow in and out of the machine
    • - Follow the PM Schedule as defined by the manufacturer


    Required Skills

    • - Ability to interpret drawings/blueprints
    • - Capable of working in a steel fabrication shop environment
    • - Independent work capability
    • - Proficient in English
    • - Knowledge of 5S/lean principles
    • - Eagerness to learn and enhance skills
    • - Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
    • - Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds


    Required Experience

    • - High School diploma or equivalent
    • - Experience with CNC plate and tube cutting equipment in a metal fabrication setting
    • - Familiarity with Trumpf and Messer equipment is a plus
    • - Ability to read drawings/blueprints
    • - Comfortable working in a steel fabrication shop
    • - Independence in work approach
    • - Fluent in English
    • - Knowledge of 5S/lean principles
    • - Driven to learn and grow
    • - Positive and proactive in problem-solving
    • - Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
