The Challenge
This role, based in Toronto, offers a blend of local dynamism and a broader national outlook.

You will utilize your strategic vision to steer the planning, organization, and implementation of client-centric events, sponsorships, and conferences for EY's key industry sectors and practice groups, alongside engaging activities for EY personnel.

You will be instrumental in devising pre-event strategies, managing activities on the event day, and executing post-event lead generation initiatives.

You will oversee our national events portal and serve as a central link among all parties involved in the execution and evaluation of events, sponsorships, and client interactions throughout the organization, to deliver the best of EY to our clients, employees, and communities.


Given the nature of this role focusing on events and sponsorships, many activities occur outside regular working hours. Therefore, we offer flexibility for you to adjust your schedule to ensure your attendance at these events.


Your Key Duties
  • Plan, oversee, and execute impactful employee engagement events and top-notch strategic B2B client event experiences in various formats (in-person, virtual, or hybrid) and scales, within set timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) teams, and external agencies/vendors to bring events to life effectively, from conception to post-event activities such as follow-ups and evaluation.
  • Identify potential partnerships, create compelling proposals, negotiate favorable contract terms, and continuously assess partnership success based on organizational objectives.
  • Manage sponsorships by evaluating incoming opportunities, aligning them with organizational goals, and assessing risks, benefits, and reputational impacts.
  • Handle all logistical aspects of events, including virtual platform selection, venue sourcing, invitation management, registration, speaker coordination, budgeting, contract management, and reporting, while promoting the EY Brand across various channels.
  • Introduce innovative ideas for new events to senior stakeholders, remain updated on event trends, and drive post-event activities through digital channels for continuous improvement.
  • Engage stakeholders through clear communication, proactive updates, and comprehensive follow-ups, ensuring seamless event experiences.
  • Measure the ROI of events, share insights, and provide suggestions for enhancements within the national events framework.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Keep abreast of event management trends and best practices to uphold innovative standards.
  • Occasionally, travel and overtime may be necessary for this role.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven track record in event planning and sponsorships for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Familiarity with the latest virtual event technologies and tools, along with a forward-looking approach.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to showcase impact through comprehensive reports and metrics.
