MAJOR DUTIES:


We are seeking a Business and Finance Specialist (for a 16 month contract) to support our Service Leadership team with tracking, reconciliation and trending our bookings, revenue and gross margin forecast and actual results.

This key position will coordinate with multiple internal functional groups to ensure that forecasting and reporting processes are optimized; financial reports are prepared; clear links are established between finance info and our Daily Visual Management processes; and day to day transactions are carried out in a highly efficient manner.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive business decisions through financial reporting and governance

  • Coordinate and prepare monthly financial reporting of bookings, revenue and margin for the After Sales and Service portion of the business.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, issues, and deviations to drive early identification of issues through daily visual management (DVM), and to drive consistent and accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare and present KPIs to PM team with actions and follow up.
  • Liaise with Service Leadership, Project Management, Divisional and Global finance teams to gather insights, resolve deviations and / or address issues. Liaise with Front end team to categorize and forecast opportunities as revenue.
  • Track and monitor high priority projects. Support management by identifying financial risks and formulating actions to help drive team performance and objectives to fiscal plans.
  • Facilitate proper tracking and reporting of opportunities by service product category.
  • Participate in the analysis and development of the Services strategy, annual operating plan and goal deployment.
  • Present and participate in monthly department meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Coordinate day to day financial transactions

  • Participate in (Project Status meetings) ("PSM") to develop a deep understanding of projects.
  • Closely work with the Project Management team to reconcile time and material purchase orders and support invoice submission to the customer.
  • Manage the operational tracking of project financial milestones including the issuance of invoices to the customer.
  • Reconcile purchase orders with the customer and internal finance teams as required.
  • Reconcile CORs and project budgets with the Project Management team as required.
Champion Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes leveraging the ATS Business Model (ABM).
  • Lead and facilitate problem solving exercises by baselining the current state, conducting root cause analysis investigations, identifying pragmatic countermeasures, leverage brainstorming tools and in coordination with stakeholders, implement sustainable changes. Reconcile budgets with the Front-End Commercial team to address budget overruns or gaps.
  • Track critical metrics using visual graphical methods and incorporate in the department daily visual management meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in business.
years of experience in a finance or business-related field.


Knowledge & Behavioral Requirements:

  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems (JDE) and Customer Relationship Management software (Oracle Service Cloud).
  • Ability to work autonomously and have a bias for action in a fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Familiar with methodologies and processes for managing and manipulating data and draw insights from large data sets and relational databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and support the use of sound analytical practices.
