Business Development Manager will develop and execute a personal business plan with activity-based sales strategies to deliver strong, profitable, and sustainable growth of equipment loans and leases - with Winnipeg and Greater Manitoba area as their designated sales territory.
Targeted growth in franchised client relationships is achieved through anchoring strong relationships and facilitating collaboration, cross selling and shared relationships that result in successful business referrals within EFG and across
CWB Financial Group.

Expected Deliverables
Client focused.
Deliver exceptional client experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with
CWB's brand promise.
Sales driven.
Execute an independent marketing plan to achieve targeted business growth mix, with a focus on larger mid-market commercial clients ($10MM+ loan and deposit volume) inclusive of independent sales activities:
- Targeted outbound call program
- Referral generating program
- Business community and industry networking
- Developing self-generated leads
- Regimented follow-up calendar
Develop and execute a relationship strategy for each client, identifying the key issues surrounding the relationship and implement a strategy to facilitate the expansion of our partnership with the business.
Market knowledge.Maintain extensive knowledge of clients and prospects, market, competition and economic factors, alongside robust understanding of key business issues and trends.
Expert negotiator. Optimize business and client relationships while practicing good judgement in a highly competitive environment to make win/win determinations.Risk savvy.
Strongly established skills in structuring creative, competitive solutions to meet client needs and practice proactive risk management while respecting
CWB policies/procedures.
Adaptable. Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans to address customer issues and priorities.
Brand representative. Be highly visible, crafting personal credibility and increased EFG brand awareness & presence with larger businesses and related professionals. To be known as a trusted business advisor, sought after for financial guidance.

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow with
Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education (business, commerce, finance, sales, marketing diploma/degree) or real-life experience (2+ years of financial services sales experience)
- preferably in equipment financing and leasing). You don't need letters behind your name (CFA, CPA) but you will need the ability to understand financial statements, how to complete analysis, and possess a sound understanding of effective risk mitigation strategies. Credit adjudication experience and a basic knowledge of collateral security and documentation would be considered strong assets
