Located in our Central Administration office in Maple Ridge BC, with free on-site parking and close to the WestCoast Express
In Your Role You Will
- Collaborate with the HR team to identify and prioritize employee files for digitalization.
- Scan and upload documents into the electronic filing system, ensuring proper categorization and organization.
- Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of digitalized files.
- Assist in the development and implementation of file retention and disposal policies.
- Support ongoing efforts to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.
The Position
As an HR Intern specializing in file digitalization, you will play a pivotal role in our transition to a paperless environment.
You will work closely with our HR team to convert physical employee files into an electronic format, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance throughout the process.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in HR operations, learn about data management best practices, and contribute to a strategic initiative that will shape the future of our organization.
Schedule:
- This role requires onsite equipment and file access within our Maple Ridge office. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm PST.
- There is flexibility in how many hours are worked each week to achieve the goal.
Criminal Record Check/Ministry Check Statement
Prior to confirmation of employment all applicants must provide a current (dated within 6 months of hiring date) Criminal Record Check and Ministry Check. These checks can take up to 6 weeks to obtain, please ensure you prepare accordingly.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Required Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems or document management software is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A desire to work with a leadership and collaborative approach and the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
