JOB SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION:
_
Maintain existing contacts, develop new customers and expand Watson's reach in the building material supply market.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:_
- Promote and sell full line of building material products to a range of clients including new and existing contractors, builders, general contractors, and developers.
- Remain knowledgeable and current regarding industry and customer developments
- Track jobs in assigned sales territory
- Collections and delinquent account management
- Regularly report on progress to senior management
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees, customers and suppliers
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
- Follow all regulations and company policies and procedures
- Assist with coverage in the yard when required
- All other duties as directed by the General Manager and/or Director of Sales
- REQUIREMENTS:_
- Exceptional people and communication skills
- 23 years of experience in the construction/ building materials industry and detailed product knowledge or 23 years' experience as a sales representative.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments
- Dynamic, results driven individual with proven ability to develop and capitalize on sales leads
- Detailed knowledge of pricing strategies and price book set up and maintenance
- Detailed knowledge of reporting tools and intermediate level computer skills
- A Positive can do attitude is essential
