Position summary

This position is ideal for someone with 4+ years of working experience looking to join a dynamic team with a passion for client service.

As a Project Manager your primary role is to plan, execute and deliver commercial submetering projects for Metergy Solutions.

You will define project objectives and timelines and ensure client commitments are met through effective management of your time, and coordination with external trades.

You will collaborate with other Metergy team members to improve project delivery and in general contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:


  • Create technical drawings, regulatory forms, project plans, and project timelines for electricity, water, natural gas, and thermal submetering projects.
  • Communicate technical installation requirements, and coordinate installation timelines with external parties (clients, electricians, and mechanical trades)
  • Manage commissioning of meter installations
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, project timelines that track individual project milestones and deliverables
  • Provide technical evaluation of metering opportunities identified by the Sales department
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and completed for each installation project
  • Any other tasks in support of commercial submetering projects as necessary

Qualifications:


  • Have a strong background in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Working knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems, including electricity distribution, DCW and DHW systems, fan coil / heat pump systems commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with the appropriate regulatory bodies in this space: Measurement Canada, Electrical Safety Authority, TSSA, OEB, Industry Canada, CSA.
  • Project Management Skills to concurrently delivery multiple projects
  • Demonstrate excellent planning, analytical, organizing and communication skills to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
Physical Effort and Working Conditions

  • Sitting at the desk for long periods of time
  • Working in electrical distribution rooms/closets
  • Weekly travel within the GTA and surrounding Municipalities
  • Occasional travel out of Province
  • Occasional overtime
  • Occasional lifting of and/or transporting of equipment to and from site using your own vehicle or company transportation
  • Flexibility to work from the office at least once per week
Additional Information

  • A strong understanding of health and safety on construction site(s) and around electrical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
  • A Valid Ontario driver's license and have access to a vehicle
