Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Researching different rubber compound ingredients
  • Researching how those ingredients are processed together to make a rubber compound
  • Contacting ingredient suppliers to collaborate on compound development
  • Weighing and measuring ingredients to mix lab and production quantity batches
  • Developing the manufacturing process and protocols for mixing our developed rubber compounds from scratch in both lab and production level quantities
  • Operating a 2 roll open mixing mill and Banbury to mix rubber compound batches
  • Testing newly developed compounds for tensile strength, abrasion, durometer, UV resistance, rebound and other physical properties using ASTM testing standards
  • Conducting A/B field tests comparing current compounds to newly developed compounds
  • Adhering to all Evolution Wheel Safety standards and policies
  • Completion of postsecondary program in Organic Chemistry
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field
  • Strong researching and problemsolving skills
  • Experience with use of testing equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Completed post secondary program in Organic Chemistry

Additional Job Information

  • Employees will be required to provide their own steel toe boots and wear them at all times. All other PPE for this position will be provided by Evolution Wheel.

$22.00-$30.00 per hour
