COMPENSATION:
$16.54 per hour


HOURS:4 hours per day (1.5 hours before school, 2.

5 hours after school as scheduled) Consideration may be given to divide this position:

A before and after school worker is required at École Van Belleghem. The primary duties and responsibilities

include:

  • Assuring the supervision and care of children before the start of school and at the end of the school day.
  • Implementing age appropriate activities and programs for students.




REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-

Grade 12 diploma

  • First Aid and CPR training completed within six weeks of hire
  • Experience working with children in relevant settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a planning team
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to interpret situations accurately and act accordingly
  • Positive attitude, outlook, and work ethic
  • Ability to develop good relationships with students on a onetoone basis and in groups
  • Ability to support students to problem solve and work through issues
  • Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
