Position Description:

The LOL will be responsible to oversee the daily operations of a production division. The position will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. The position will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The LOL will drive a performance based culture that aligns with the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities / Duties:

Plan, organize, direct and run optimum daytoday operations to exceed our internal and external customers' expectations.
Report on key performance indicators for production on a weekly basis.
Conduct structure audits of work centers on a monthly basis.
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus with clear actions that drive results.
Recommends, implements, and evaluates policies, procedures, and standards for all aspects of the work performed.
Involved in recruiting and onboarding of new staff.
Foster and maintain positive employee relations by ensuring all employees are treated with respect, concerns are dealt with in a timely manner and employees are communicated with openly.
Drive significant cost reductions across all aspects of manufacturing including increased line efficiency, waste control, and higher labor productivity.
Drive cost savings goals using sustainable continuous improvement tools such as 5S and Kaizen, focusing on optimization of production.
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.

**Qualifications: - Five years or greater of demonstrated experience as a Operations Leader, Manufacturing Leader or equivalent.

Have an understanding of Lean principles and how it applies to the manufacturing environment.
Has had previous exposure and adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, project management and human resources).
Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate various operating systems.
Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral).
Organization and time management skills.
Six Sigma Lean experience is considered an asset.
Technical Degree is considered an asset.
