Overall Accountability

The Kindergarten Assistant assists and supports students and teachers. The Noon Hour Assistant provides general assistance, direction and supervision to students.

Specific Accountabilities

Prepares materials, constructs and assembles displays, duplicates and distributes materials
Motivates and encourages students to participate in learning activities
Assists with special events and activities
Leads children in activities and assists in demonstrations
Performs clerical duties as required

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Category

Diploma/certificate from a recognized postsecondary institution or the equivalent of a minimum of one (1) year postsecondary course study preferred
Ability to speak and read English fluently
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Aptitude for creativity and adaptability
