Position Information:


The Manager of Environmental Services manages the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department, providing leadership to staff and ensuring TOH standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the Hospital.

The Manager is responsible for strategic planning, forecasting and budgetary oversight of the department.

This position is temporary until approximately August 30, 2025.


Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.


Salary Information:


Please note that this salary is under review, and in the interim the salary range above includes a temporary Market Premium.


What you will bring:


  • University Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field;
  • Five (5) years of experience in the field of healthcare, environmental services, or support services;
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience;
  • Knowledge of the hospital environment;
  • Knowledge of current trends and legislation in the industry such as Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS, PIDAC, and applicable Regulations and Standards;
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials in the handling of spills and contamination, with training on related equipment and selfcontained breathing apparatus.;
  • Technical knowledge of Environmental Services procedures, technology, and equipment;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent planning, organizational and presentation skills;
  • High degree of initiative and analytical skills;
  • Evaluation skills relating to teaching and training acquired by education and experience;
  • Knowledge of accounting and budget principles and processes.
