Maintenance Supervisor - Windsor, Canada - KMR Innovations Inc.
Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direction, supervision, and development of plant electrical and mechanical technicians and proactive problem-solving of production machinery.
This position is with a prestigious company, with excellent benefits, pension, and 4 weeks of vacation per year.
Responsibilities
- Repair of Equipment
- Problem-Solving malfunctioning equipment.
- Will run a budget and overhead expenses
- Supervise all shifts.
- Leads up to 12 mechanics and electricians and supports 4 production lines.
- Coordinates activities with production, planning, and other areas of the plant.
- Supports the entire facility during their shift.
- Knowledge of regulatory (OSHA, EPA, BATF) and Risk Management policies and running direct and indirect reports to compliance.
- Ability to write and implement capital projects.
- Preventive maintenance program for production equipment.
- Maintain parts, drawings, and corporate engineering equipment purchases impacting the plant.
- Maintain a safe work environment to minimize lost time and resultant monetary losses due to accidents in the workplace.
- Perform mechanical and electrical skill assessments and develop a training program for staff.
- Identify capital projects to improve production efficiencies, reduce material loss, and improve quality, safety, housekeeping, GMP, and other related critical metrics.
- Motivate and promote good working relationships
- Good Manufacturing Practices including personal hygiene and all implemented Safety and Quality policies, programs, and regulations.
- Support quality and safety team to ensure maintenance of the ISO/HAACCP SYSTEMS
- Provides training to Mechanics and others concerning SAP.
- Lead the Maintenance Tier 1 (Maintenance shift handover).
- Validate the Shift Report (Downtime issues, Completed WO's, outstanding issues to hand over/follow up on).
- Report out at Production meeting with fellow team leads with items about maintenance.
- Participate in ongoing training as suggested by management.
Qualifications, Experience, and Education.
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing or maintenance supervision experience
- Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience
- PLC/Drive systems/transmissions experience
- Basic Controller/Processor, Industrial Electrical Wiring, Mechanical/Electrical Devices, and Circuits experience
- Basic Drive Maintenance, Installations, and problemsolving experience.
- SAP operational experience
- BS in Engineering or another technical field is required.
