In this position you will operate Filling / Packaging / Processing / Sanitation equipment, as well as provides relief coverage in other areas of the plant.
This position reports to the Plant Manager. Previous food processing experience required, dairy processing experience an assetResponsibilities:
- Previous dairy processing experience required
- Monitor and perform routine checks of systems to ensure lines are running smoothly
- Conduct CIP (clean in place) washes of systems. Manual cleaning of the tanks, parts and processing areas
- Complete documentation for food safety and maintenance related tasks
- Maintain accurate and detailed packaging records
- Crosstrain to learn how to use equipment and machinery in various areas of the plant
- Provide relief coverage for other positions and plant staff
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
Qualifications:
- Previous dairy processing experience required
- Experience in process cleaning an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability
- Good communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team
- Self motivated with the ability to multitask
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the job (lift 50lbs, repetitive tasks)
- Must be punctual and diligent
- Computer skills and experience working with automated machinery an asset
- Flexible to cover various shifts, vacation or illness relief as required
Salary:
$22.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
