Manager, Laurentian Online, Centre of Teaching and Continuing Learning:

Required Position:

Full-time Permanent Appointment

Responsibilities:

This position will report to the Director, Centre for Continuing Learning and is responsible for the successful development and delivery of all online for-credit courses and programs offered at Laurentian University, which includes all online examinations and their processes.

Successfully develops and delivers, ontime and within budget, all planned forcredit online courses and programs of Laurentian Online;
Oversees the entire exam function for Laurentian Online (online, invigilated, etc.);
Administers the course evaluation process;
Coordinates the onboarding of authors, reviewers, revisors, course supervisors and teaching assistants of forcredit online courses;
Coordinates communication with other service departments (admissions, registrar, liaison, IT, etc...) to ensure a smooth online experience for students and faculty;
Committed to the advancement and presence of Laurentian Online locally, provincially and nationally;
Oversees assignment contract and author/reviewer/revisor/course supervisor/teaching assistant contracts and payments; LUFA reporting obligations, and tracking of course supervisor PD;
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of senior management experience (preferably in a postsecondary institution and with online/distance learning);
Master of Education, preferably in Online Education;
Strong data analysis and research skills;
Strong interpersonal and external relations skills;
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse interdisciplinary team;
Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions and creative problem solver;
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment;
Excellent written and oral skills in French and English.

The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter hours per week.
