Manager, Laurentian Online, Centre of Teaching and Continuing Learning:
Required Position:
Full-time Permanent Appointment
Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Director, Centre for Continuing Learning and is responsible for the successful development and delivery of all online for-credit courses and programs offered at Laurentian University, which includes all online examinations and their processes.
- Successfully develops and delivers, ontime and within budget, all planned forcredit online courses and programs of Laurentian Online;
- Oversees the entire exam function for Laurentian Online (online, invigilated, etc.);
- Administers the course evaluation process;
- Coordinates the onboarding of authors, reviewers, revisors, course supervisors and teaching assistants of forcredit online courses;
- Coordinates communication with other service departments (admissions, registrar, liaison, IT, etc...) to ensure a smooth online experience for students and faculty;
- Committed to the advancement and presence of Laurentian Online locally, provincially and nationally;
- Oversees assignment contract and author/reviewer/revisor/course supervisor/teaching assistant contracts and payments; LUFA reporting obligations, and tracking of course supervisor PD;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of senior management experience (preferably in a postsecondary institution and with online/distance learning);
- Master of Education, preferably in Online Education;
- Strong data analysis and research skills;
- Strong interpersonal and external relations skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse interdisciplinary team;
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions and creative problem solver;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment;
- Excellent written and oral skills in French and English.
to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter hours per week.
