About This Opportunity:


Reporting to the General Manager, the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) will support and direct the daily operations of a distribution center by managing several direct reports and many indirect reports.

Direct reports may include the Warehouse Manager, Distribution Manager, Fleet Supervisor and Technical Service Supervisors.

Other responsibilities and opportunities include working with union leadership to develop short and long-term strategies, as well as participating in discussions on innovations and operational optimization opportunities.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all logistics activities for facility are operating efficiently. (Delivery, Fleet, and Warehouse operations)
  • Manage, train, and develop all subordinate personnel;
  • Establish distribution goals, manage all delivery Key Business Indicators (KBIs) and review processes regularly
  • Ensure communication of daily plans and compliance to Coke Canada and facility policies on OSHA/safety standards, Department of Transportation regulations, and federal guidelines
  • Ensure commitment to superior customer service
  • Ensure that all company initiatives are implemented
  • Develop and manage the sales center distribution budget
  • Work with sales, warehouse & fleet departments to ensure deliveries are timely, accurate, and efficient.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 10 years previous management experience in a largescale unionized operation encompassing ownership for a breadth of supply chain disciplines is required
  • Completed Postsecondary education preferably in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent work experience required
  • Strong influencing and people management skills required
  • Experience leading large teams through transformation and change management
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence a large unionized workforce through a team of managers maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Union Leaders and fostering positive relationships
  • Business acumen and strong presentation skills for multiple audiences from front line to senior/executive leaders
  • Total understanding of regulatory compliance standards and OSHA standards and, experience tracking and reporting KPI's
