The RoRo Billing Clerk handles all aspects of RoRo receivable processing as well as assuming other finance responsibilities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following, and other duties as may be assigned:
- Generating invoices and customer statements
- Collect and process customers payments
- Liaison with all customers regarding account status and settlement
- Weekly reviews of collection status and followup as required
- Investigating and resolving any irregularities. Respond to customer inquiries.
- Accounts Reconciliation, post journal entries, customer invoices and maintenance of general ledger
- Update and reconcile cash payments
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on revenue at a customer level
- Meet stringent deadlines for weekly vessel revenue, month end, and year end tasks
- Support operations and IT with process improvements
- Assist billing team with other billing activities as directed by the Revenue Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Accounting diploma or similar preferred or 12 years related work experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat
- High degree of attention to detail
- Able to follow policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
COMPENSATION:
This is a 12-month contract salaried position
