The avid Hotel Toronto Vaughan Southwest is the first avid Hotel by IHG in Canada.We are seeking a motivated Junior Sales Manager who is interested in building skills and contributing past experience in an nurturing environment with definite growth potential. You need to understand the value of building strong relationships in the community and takes great satisfaction in meeting the needs of that community. We are located in the ever-growing city of Vaughan Ontario and have had an outstanding first year in business.

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

● Proactively managing your daily sales activities to support meeting and exceeding targets

● Professionally handling all third party and group room inquiries through to contracting
● Achieving all personal sales goals to help us maximize profitability
● Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume

● Reviewing monthly Brand and Hotel reports to assist in tracking performance and develop the hotel's and your own growth plan

● Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and outside contacts

● Two or more years of experience in a hotel sales and marketing setting with a proven track record of dedication and success

● Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required

● Must be able to commit to and follow through on a schedule of outside sales calls as required to meet targets

● Ability to work independently or in a team as required

● Must speak and write English at a professional level
