We are currently looking for an Intermediate Accountant ( Tax Focused) in our Accounting Department.

The Intermediate Accountant assists in interpreting business transactions with a tax (Canadian Income Tax and indirect taxes) insight to create information for business decision makers to assess performance and results.
This position will be focused on Canadian corporate income tax accruals, provisions, reporting and compliance in addition to interpreting transactions and activities to apply IFRS guidelines and record information appropriately.
The position requires someone with initiative, organization, time management, technical knowledge and must be able to work without day-to-day direction.
Support team's learning and development through sharing and cross-training.Demonstrate intermediate/advanced computer literacy.
Be detail-oriented with high-quality work standards.
Understand and apply corporate policies.
Demonstrate an intermediate understanding of complex accounting and regulatory matters.

Education and Training:
Completed Degree in Accounting or within 1 year of CPA Designation
Occasional overtime will be required, particularly during the quarter and fiscal year end.
The business may from time to time ask for branch and/or department support for special projects and/or areas experiencing staff shortages.
