GENERAL MANAGER - HOTEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Our team is looking for a General Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of hotel operations and management, from overseeing the day-to-day activities and staff to ensuring our guests have the most enjoyable stay and upholding the hotel/brand standards.

The GM is an ambassador for the hotel and the brand will be responsible to ensure optimal sales levels and reputation.

You will support us by providing your expertise in the following areas:

Sales

  • Drive and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates
  • Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant highprofile exposure for the hotel
  • Effectively communicate and market aspects of the hotel that are sustainable or "green" and use
- information to gain new business opportunities


People

  • Develop programs and initiatives to increase team engagement that are aligned with
the hotel's service philosophy

  • Develop, implement and monitor team member succession planning to ensure future bench strength
  • Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to enhance performance
  • Oversee HR related actions in accordance with company rules and policies
Guest Experience

  • Demonstrate brand citizenship by maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards
  • Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and hotel team members to establish and implement services and
- programs that meet or exceed guest expectations

  • Speak to guests ask for their feedback and build relationships

Financial

  • Prepare annual capital, cash flow and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets
  • Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment
  • You will focus on developing and setting sales and marketing strategies and revenue targets for the hotel and actively work on ensuring the plans are implemented, results are monitored and goals are achieved.
  • You'll take ownership of the development of your people, execute on brand standards and build awareness of the hotel and brand within the local area.

You will bring

  • Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration
  • 510 years of prior hotel management experience with a strong emphasis on Sales/Business Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must speak fluent English along with other languages preferred
  • The ability to use distribution channels and technology platforms to drive revenue and maximize market share
  • Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including working with owners to maintain or improve property's market leadership position
