Duties:

What will you be doing?

  • Apply/verify a variety of financial coding and processing requirements; and to establish information;
  • Review and verify financial transactions and investigate and clarify discrepancies;
  • Resolve issues related to more complex contracting, hospitality, travel and relocation transactions.

EDUCATION:

  • A high school diploma or employerapproved alternatives:
  • Note: The alternatives are the acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency


EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in providing financial support services in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, such as but not limited to : processing invoices or travel claims, billing and preparing bank deposits, reconciling customer accounts or processing revenue related transactions;
  • Experience in using a variety of basic software such as but not limited to : Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • Experience of using database such as System, Applications and Products (SAP), Oracle, Free Balance for accounts payable and/or accounts receivable;
  • Experience in providing support and/or customer service.

EDUCATION (ASSET):

  • Have completed at least one accounting course at the postsecondary level;
  • Successful completion of two years of a postsecondary program with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics; or hold the Financial Management Certificate from the Government of Canada.
Degree equivalency


EXPERIENCE (ASSET):

  • Work experience for a federal government department (including students, temporary help and casuals);
  • Experience working with Shared Travel Services;
  • Experience in document management (life cycle, retention and disposal of documents).
