    Description

    What you'll do:

    You will be responsible for all aspects of management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, and performance management for the North Country Coop Home Centre.

  • You will prepare, administer and be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH (Sales Per Employee Hour) of the Plamondon Home Centre.
  • You will ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, Health & Safety and Loss prevention.
  • You will assist and lead marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards and create innovative marketing plans.
  • You will prepare the annual budget and ensure claims, invoices and other paperwork is done timely, accurately and meets policies and procedures.
  • You will keep familiar and up to date with current and new products in the market.
  • You will ensure all facilities and equipment meet the image checklist, management of assets and maintenance schedule.
  • You will perform other duties as required and assigned.
  • Who you'll work with:

    The Team: You will report into and work closely with the GM, providing leadership, coaching and guidance to the Home Centre. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and teamwork to provide the best service to the community.

    The Community:

    Plamondon is a small community in Northern Alberta nestled between several beautiful Provincial Parks. The Hamlet has a rich history, diverse culture, and a population of 350 with a rural population of 1,500. There are two schools, two restaurants, a boutique, a thrift store, and a Festival Center (Hall).

    Who you are:

    You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • Grade 12 education; Business related education would be an asset.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Excellent leadership skills and are skilled in coaching and training.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
