About the Tour de Cure


The Tour de Cure, presented by Wheaton Precious Metals is an annual two-day cycling challenge, covering more than 200 km from Vancouver to Hope, BC.

It is much more than a two-day event, it is a community movement and a year-round peer-to-peer fundraising program.

And it has raised over $117 million for the BC Cancer Foundation since 2009, fueling world-renowned research at BC Cancer.

The Position

This role is part of a dynamic team and fast paced environment.

Reporting directly to the Participant Support Coordinator, this person will support the event delivery with three main functions:

Administrative Support


Provide support to the core Tour de Cure team through office administration including ordering and maintaining office supplies, organizing couriers, managing participant data, creating reports, coordinating and implementing assigned projects.

Participant Support

Management of participant rewards program, including database management, fulfillment, communication and delivery tracking.

Managing online check-in process. This will entail creating the participant survey, tracking and reporting on progress.

Helping with the delivery of rider packets which is carried out through mail and in-person pickup.

Event Execution

Serve as event staff for lead-up events such as official training rides and sponsor activations.

Help with planning, set-up and execution of participant check-in area on event weekend.

The Person


Qualifications:

Applicants to be a current post-secondary students or recent graduates

A willingness to work evenings and weekends is required, as is occasional travel.

Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail.

Strong analytical skills. Ability to generate reports that inform the creation of action plans.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn CRM Systems.

License to drive a car in British Columbia.


Hourly Rate:
$17-$20/hour
