Job purpose
You understand and know from experience how foundational policies and procedures are to enhancing efficiency and building independence that empowers people to make clear and consistent decisions that drive alignment and unity.
You understand business fundamentals and create synergies that align financial, governance, administration, human resources and health and safety policies and procedures.
- You will collaborate with leaders, employees on developing and updating program manuals, policies, and procedures to align with CARF standards.
- You will support and work closely with the CARF Project Coordinator to implement and ensure policies and procedures are being used effectively in daytoday operations.
- Do audits on implemented standards to ensure compliance.
- Consult with the CARF Project Coordinator and leaders to identify what policies and procedures need to be developed, updated, and implemented operationally.
- Ensure policies and procedures are clear and provide a basis for making good decisions.
- Refer to current policies, procedure forms and checklist to guide what must be done and by when.
- Work with the Health and Safety Consultant and managers to develop an operational Health and Safety manual, onboarding plan and organize what mandatory training should be delivered to all team members.
- Attend regular CARF project and Health and Safety meetings.
Qualifications and Terms
- Experience in creating and implementing policies and procedures.
- Experience in developing and implementing Health and Safety programs and safe work practices.
- Formal education in technical writing, communications and health and safety is ideal.
- Minimum of 2 year's work experience in administration and health and safety.
- Intermediate computer skills. Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
- Possess a Driver's License with a clean drivers abstract.
- Must be able to work onsite.

- Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally both orally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with consideration to timelines and directives.
- Attention to detail. Able to use critical thinking skills to be able to troubleshoot challenges and find solutions.
- Understand general practice of maintaining confidentiality.
Additional Information
This is a 6-month term contract to start as soon as possible.

Salary:
$47,840.00-$52,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- Victoria, BC V8T 4Y4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
