About Ventures & Ecosystems Group (V&E)**:
This role resides within the V&E group at MaRS. V&E works with over 1400 innovation-driven science and technology startups.

V&E helps entrepreneurs commercialize innovations with high business growth potential in Canada and globally by facilitating access to the customer, talent, funding, marketing and stakeholder connections required to successfully scale their business.


About the role:


The core objective of this role is to support both client delivery and partner engagements within MaRS Corporate Innovation (CI) team.

We bring MaRS' unique expertise across sectors to convene, engage, and deliver critical and high impact programs to our partners.

Our offerings consist of events, content and one on one partner delivery.

This role is highly tactical, supporting the delivery of Corporate Innovation engagements and in particular being focused on supporting the Innovation Challenges offering at MaRS.


This is a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities**:


Delivery (60%)

  • Support and operationalize the delivery of onetomany or onetoone corporate experiences, content, and deliveries that facilitate identification and adoption of technologies or solutions.
  • Specifically, support the Innovation Challenges team in researching, designing, and executing on all innovation challenge deliveries.
  • Specifically, lead logistics and provide content reports, briefing notes, decks, and articles
- to enable high quality delivery of MaRS Corporate Innovation offerings to a range of corporate partners. Where required for specific corporate engagements, own the development of event communications and marketing materials.


Account Management (20%)

  • Support corporate partner onboarding, ongoing management, renewals, and related activities to ensure that corporate partners are receiving high quality, high value service within their Corporate Innovation partnership. This includes, attending and supporting partner engagement in meetings and engagements, developing decks, supporting renewal proposal development, among other tasks.

Program Administration (20%)

  • Work collaboratively across the Corporate Innovation team to manage timelines and the execution of one tomany and onetoone engagements through the use of a program management framework
  • Ensure the organization, quality, and standards are maintained for clientfacing engagements and deliverables by capturing continuous improvements in Corporate Innovation processes and utilizing project management and communication tools.
  • Monitor and document various program metrics using data tracking tools (i.e. Salesforce), ensuring sufficient and timely data for various reporting requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Arts, Business, engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Arts or Business, or equivalent, preferred advanced degree in engineering or business
  • 13 years of relevant business experience in client facing roles
  • Project management experience and related skillsets
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Consummate professional, able to represent the organization in all circumstances
  • Confidence and capability in research, content development, and program management
  • Strong idea synthesis skills capable of integrating multiple information sources, prioritizing them and developing a cohesive, integrated thesis
  • Excellent capabilities in Salesforce, Excel, Asana, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range:
$49,800
- $62,000, benefits and paid time-off.
