Description

Purpose:


Science Engagement Programs offer innovative and engaging programs designed to inspire youth and assist them in discovering exciting topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The Camp Counsellor is responsible for planning and delivery of engaging programs/activities on STEM topics.


Education:

Must be a current undergraduate student.
Valid certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.


Experience:

Previous work experience may be considered.


Skills:


  • Ability to understand and demonstrate instructions, policies and procedures
  • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate others towards learning new knowledge
  • Ability to provide instruction and support others in developing knowledge or skills
  • Ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical and professional conduct
  • Ability to verbally communicate with others to explain and share information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Additional Notes:


  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Vulnerable Sector Police check required
  • Ability to lift/move/carry equipment or material of varying weights up to 20lbs
