_ Minimum Qualifications:
_
- Degree in Planning or related discipline or postsecondary school education with combination of education and experience
- Three years minimum of related land use planning and legal support experience
- Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe
- Proficiency in making documents accessible under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
- Excellent proof reading and grammatical/punctuation editing skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, highly regulated, team environment
- Ability to maintain professionalism while under pressure, with multiple meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated diplomacy skills and the ability to handle confidential matters
- Demonstrated safe work practices
_Assets:
_
- Municipal land use planning experience
- Legal documentation writing experience
- Experience in writing, reviewing, and managing land use development agreements
- Experience in working with the subdivision/condominium registration process
- Experience with registering legal/land use documents through Teraview
- Sound knowledge of The Planning Act, Provincial Policy Statement, County Official Plan and County Zoning By-Law
- Understanding of City View and ability to enter data and manage City View system data evolution
- Experience reviewing Draft Plans of Subdivisions, Reference Plans, Site Plans, and M-Plans
- Experience with GIS systems
_Duties_
- Attend, coordinate, and participate in development meetings
- Write, manage, coordinate, and organize Development Agreements
- Maintain accurate electronic and City View filing systems
- Manage, collect and release security deposits
- Recording and tracking of expiration of agreements and temporary uses
- Assist with research performed by planning staff
- To manage the Subdivision/Condominium registration process, which includes but is not limited to:
- Scheduling and attending meetings with the applicant and appropriate commenting agencies
- Circulating and coordinating submission materials required to clear draft plan of subdivision/condominium conditions of approval
- Reviewing submission materials for the clearance of subdivision/condominium conditions of approval
- Coordinating the registration of plans and agreements with the Ontario Land Registry Office.
- To coordinate and manage the Site Plan Control registration process
- To coordinate and manage the release of various forms of securities related to Planning Act developments
- Other duties as assigned
Salary - $35.77 to $41.85 (Grade - Under Review) 35 hours per week
