- Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labour for concrete projects.
- Clean and prepare job sites, dig trenches, and set braces to support formwork.
- Understand and execute concrete procedures to meet the specifications of the project.
- Setting forms that hold concrete in place.
- Pouring, smoothing, and levelling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed.
- Ensure poured concrete is laid and finished to the highest standard Operate equipment as needed.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks.
- Participate in weekly safety meetings.
- Advise supervision of unsafe conditions or acts that may be a hazard or danger to oneself and other workers.
- Report all incidents/accidents, including "near misses."
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Ability to learn quickly and keep up with a tight schedule.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Able to complete physically demanding work with significant periods of standing and kneeling.
- Some experience working as a concrete finisher is required.
