On the job training

Major Responsibilities:

Visit customers to investigate/troubleshoot quality concerns.
Negotiate and report appropriate response/conclusion/financial outcome to internal and external customers on customer claims.
Complete and track electronic systems entries on claims, credits, returns, etc.
Work with outside processors to resolve quality concerns and negotiate claim settlements.
Investigate root cause/corrective actions for customer quality issues/claims and disposition material accordingly.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement from root cause investigations at internal and external processing operations.
Provide Technical support for internal and external sales, operations and purchasing.
Support purchasing and sales on cost savings initiatives. Support supplier and product development

Qualifications:

College/University education in a manufacturing/engineering/quality discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience working with flat rolled steel and aluminum.
Experience working in the automotive industry.
General knowledge of automotive specifications
General knowledge of automotive quality systems and AIAG requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organized.
