JOB OPPORTUNITY:
OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (DAY SHIFT)
We are currently looking for an Operations Supervisor, Securities Transportation (day shift) for our Gatineau branch.

Your responsibilities:

Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees;
Ensure that staff members comply with policies, administrative procedures, safety rules, collective agreements and government regulations;
Act as a resource person for all employees in assigned territory;
Collaborates with other supervisors and staff to establish and implement policies, procedures and objectives;
Promote safe work practices by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings and meeting with individual staff members;
Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets;
Lead investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints;
Collaborate with internal or external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transportation and improve safety procedures;
Participate in the disciplinary or grievance process;
Any other related duties.

Your Profile:

Minimum of 2 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment;
Bilingual;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
Valid driver's license with a good driving record;
Possession of a firearms acquisition permit (an asset);
Very good leadership, negotiation, and judgment skills;
Strong teamwork and partnership orientation;
Sense of urgency, exceptional communication and problem solving skills;
Critical thinking and active listening skills developed.
