Description

A key member of the Finance team providing support primarily full cycle payroll and benefits administration, including preparation of general ledger entries, account reconciliations and ad hoc information requests.


  • Responsibilities_
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers, new hires and terminations
  • Identifies and resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Pays employees by receiving, verifying and processing account transactions
  • Manage all aspects of the group benefit and RRSP plans, including the processing of all changes, premium submissions, and liaising with suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-
3+ consecutive years full cycle (time gathering to T4 submission) payroll experience in a busy work environment:

  • Avanti payroll system knowledge is an asset
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and sound analytical skills
  • Sound organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure and possess a professional demeanour
  • Punctuality

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
