The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with our business leaders to attract, identify, and hire key talent to fill vacancies across the Company.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Actioning all staffing needs based on organizational plans and objectives; meeting with BluMetric leaders to discuss requirements and devise recruitment campaigns.
  • Attracting applicants by placing job postings on social media; contacting educational institutions, using online networking opportunities, and accessing job sites.
  • Using BambooHR (Corporate HRIS) to determine applicant qualifications by screening and interviewing applicants, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements, and completing background checks where needed.
  • Assisting in the administration and delivery of offer letters and contract extensions.
  • Updating requisitions and maintaining data integrity in our recruitment registry.
  • Mining applicants through universities and colleges, employment agencies, social media, and internet sites; communicating organizational information, opportunities, and benefits to prospective applicants; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Attending job fairs, webinars, and other recruitment events (virtually/inperson).
  • Running meetings and preparing regular status updates on requisitions and recruitment metrics on attrition and turnover.
  • Liaising with and between IT, Payroll, and various other departments in the delivery of onboarding processes for all new employees.
  • Seeking out, obtaining, and maintaining employment funding through various programs.
  • Leading our Corporate Coop program in coordination with hiring leaders and postsecondary placement partners.
  • Other ad hoc requirements related to recruitment/selection, onboarding, orientation, and HR operations as required.

Qualifications, Education, and Skills:


  • Relevant postsecondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Recruitment and Selection.
  • Minimum of one to two years of demonstrated experience working in a recruitment role.
  • Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Experience using and accurately maintaining a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and an applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and other recruitment tools to identify and engage with top talent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Flexible, with the ability to adapt to different strategies and/or changing priorities.
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problemsolving environment.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and timemanagement skills.
  • A high degree of professional integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive, confidential information.
  • Resultsorientated approach to recruitment and a willingness to assist with multiple open recruitment requirements as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains (GP) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.
