Red Bull is a credible leader within the esports and gaming space, leveraging all company assets including professional gaming talent, live events, content production and esports training and broadcast facilities nationally.

Additionally, the company has developed strong partnerships with leading game publishers, media outlets, venues and technology partners with the goal of creating a sustainable and revenue generating esports business in an effort to grow the Canadian business.

To further develop these important initiatives, Red Bull Canada is looking for a well-rounded team leader with a history of delivering successful programs within the gaming space.

The Gaming and Esports Manager will manage all aspects of the Red Bull Gaming & Esports program and lead the successful deployment of the program strategy across internal departments, event and third-party productions, players & creators, and partnerships to build an owned gaming audience.


GENERAL
Think creatively with proven ability to design, communicate, and bring compelling gaming products and initiatives to market.


Champion innovation and creativity by developing guidelines, new events, infrastructure, player branding and project ideas, transforming them into credible concepts.


Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of the gaming audience and overall landscape with a focus on esports industry trends, game titles, players and creators, league operations.


Enable and work with cross departmental stakeholders to plan, align and oversee gaming activity in support of the broader business.


Lead development of a long term strategy for the gaming program that grows the Canadian business and the company mission of being the #1 beverage for gamers.

Lead the Gaming & Esports strategy for the business planning cycle.

Manage and forecast program budgets including working with internal stakeholders to secure necessary funding for Gaming programs.

Provide manager(s) with routine updates and reports. Regular reporting, directly to the international gaming team, on the state of Canadian gaming and opportunities in Canada.


Support regional teams with sales opportunities, events, player and creator activations, publishers and partnerships in order to grow local esports eco-systems to maximize the impact of the gaming program.

Define success measurement metrics, KPI's and reporting structures for overall program and individual team members.


PARTNERSHIPS
Maintain close working relationships with existing partners, fostering an environment of collaboration and creativity.

Navigate new partnership opportunities, identifying where value and authentic integration may be possible.

Develop and optimize partnership agreements, from inception to signing.

Develop partnerships and programs that support our sales teams.

Secure income against our owned gaming events and projects.


EVENTS


Innovate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain a gaming event portfolio that pays back to all areas of the business.

Define and implement globally relevant Red Bull gaming events in close partnership with game publishers and developers.

Empower and manage regional field marketing teams to support owned and third-party events in their markets.

Implement globally relevant Red Bull events in close partnership with creators, competitors, games publishers and partners.

Work with our event agencies to achieve premium event execution and budget compliance.


PLAYERS & CREATORS
Work with our players or creators to cultivate event and content ideas we can bring to life.


Develop gaming players, teams and creator relationships focusing on the identification, acquisition, sponsorship, management and development of top gaming talent.

Work with Canada's Athlete Marketing Manager to ensure alignment across the player/creator portfolio.


Partner with Red Bull Sports and teams to institute innovative performance improvement models, training techniques and technologies that increase the success of Red Bull esports athletes and teams.


Qualifications:

6+ years of gaming and/or esports marketing, media or management experience.

Experience building, mentoring and managing cross-functional teams.

Experience managing live events including branding, production and broadcast elements.

Requires excellent presentation skills and the ability to seamlessly blend in with an extremely diverse audience.
