Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct others in the performance and coordination of their work.
- Diagnosis and repair of equipment.
- Perform routine scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) services, appraisals and Safety Inspections.
- Complete all necessary time card and report documentation as required.
- Complete shop work as required by Supervisor's direction when required.
- Communicate repair status and requirements with customers and Supervisors alike.
- Excel the 'customer experience' by being professional at all times.
- Order and track all parts request to meet the customer expectation.
- Complete jobs, as assigned. Some out of town at customer site visits might be required.
- Proactively seek opportunities to grow customer accounts while carrying out your duties.
- Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of heavyduty equipment, aerial and lift equipment, and large heavy duty equipment (e.g. JCB and/ Port's Equipment)
- Strong trouble shooting skills, and willingness and desire to learn.
- Ability to instruct others in the performance and coordination of their work.
- Physical capabilities necessary to perform duties of the position (lifting & mobility).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to contribute positively to the team environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive autonomous individual able to set own standards and succeed.
- Must be willing to travel and complete jobs out of town, as assigned.
Training, Education and Experience:
- Must have experience diagnosing and repairing heavyduty equipment, aerial and lift equipment, and large heavy duty equipment (e.g. JCB and/ Port's Equipment)
- General ability to carry out diagnostics and repairs on Spark Ignition LPG engines and systems, Compression Ignition engines, Hydraulic and electrical systems as well as reading schematics from each.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Ticket.
