Description
Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit aTechnician to join the team in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Position:
Technician - Logoplaste Edmonton (CA)
Hours of Work:
Hours of work will be twelve (12) hours per day, four (4) days per rotation, in accordance with the following schedule: 7am to 7pm (for two (2) days) and 7pm to 7am (for two (2) nights) followed by four (4) days off.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work to Health & Safety, Hygiene, & Housekeeping procedures within the workplace
- Ensure Quality standards are met and report quality issues to the Quality Department & Team Lead
- Understanding the results & goals of the plant.
- Understanding/recording production (downtimes/losses) & quality data.
- Knowledge of the bottle weights, Machine Efficiency, & Losses
- Assist in machine efficiency monitoring
- Cleaning and maintaining outward appearance of machine
- Basic repairs to machine
- Troubleshooting (Numerical, Hydraulics, etc.)
- Losses optimization (vision, unforeseen stoppages etc)
- Training employees
- Assist with tool Changes and line changes
- Report faults or safety issues to the Team Leader/Management.
- Participate in new projects if required.
- Share new goals & ideas with the team.
- Be willing to attend any offshift training.
- Rework product
- Perform any reasonable task specified by Team Leader and Management
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Mechanical understanding is required
- Must be able to read and understand written specification and instructions
- Must be able to demonstrate "hands on" working approach with regards to mechanical principles
- Be able to work well under pressure
- Work with others and give directions as required
- Perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible
- Problem solve and suggest alternatives as required
- Work steadily and safely in a fastpaced environment
- Assist the team in all areas as needed
- Take direction from Team Lead and Management
