We provide turnkey supply-chain service for construction material as well as crating/packaging/marshalling and shipping via Sealift, Ground Transport & Air.

We manage the logistics and provide excellent customer service support along the way, by planning and paying attention to every detail.

Position:
Shipper

Shipper Role:

This contract position entails gathering shipping & receiving material on the warehouse floor and coordinating the delivery of materials. Is good at planning and working under pressure with extremely deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Coordinating the shipping arrangements for all customer packages to their specified locations
Contact carrier representatives to schedule pickups and provide them with the proper delivery instructions. (Dubois Transport, Canadian North, and other Freight companies)
Responsible for scheduling all appointments with the Ports (NEAS and NSSI)
Responsible for labelling all orders ready for shipment accurately.
Record all shipping data such as weight, dimensions, charges, rates, and space availability.
When dealing with a discrepancy to immediately report the issue to the Operations Manager or Purchasing Manager to rectify the issue in a timely manner
Aid with any transportation issue/damages
Determine shipping methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Enter specific shipping data into our computer system "Perform."
Responsible for Dangerous Goods labels and declarations
Responsible for creating all Bill of Ladings, air waybills and Canada Post labels.
Responsible for truck audits (Dubois Transport)
Handles all PODs.
Follow all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong prioritization and organization skills
Outgoing and willing to work extra hours.
Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment with strict deadlines.
Ability to work autonomously.
Clear and concise communicator
Team player
Experience operating a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment an asset.
Be able to lift material up to 50 lbs.
Bilingual in English/French would be an asset.
