We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented
Director, Planning and Priorities with an expert and innovative approach to project and change management, and a passion for health care.

The Director, Planning and Priorities will collaborate with executive and senior leadership to align annual priorities with Fraser Health and provincial mandates.

Leading a dedicated team, the Director will set direction, track progress, and refine strategies while collaborating with other Directors to enhance team-based consulting for organizational change and effectiveness.

The Director, Planning & Priorities will be a key member of Fraser Health's Transformation Leadership Office, a portfolio of innovative and skilled leaders brings leading practices in planning, project and change management, and organization development to advance Fraser Health's vision and strategy.

The Director specifically plays a critical role in maintaining a big-picture view of organizational priorities, progress, and change capacity.

This includes watching horizon for trends and patterns that will influence future planning and effectiveness, building and iterating processes for organizational planning, managing change, and increasing sustainability.

The Director works with Executive and senior leadership to support the development of annual priorities - that reflect both the unique characteristics and priorities of Fraser Health as well as the provincial mandate letter and priorities.

The incumbent will lead, provide strategic guidance and advance the organizational processes for strategic and annual planning, an organizational change registry, and efforts to build organizational capacity for sustainable change.


Drawing on established and emerging practices from public and private sector organizations, the Director is accountable for leading a team in the development, implementation, communication and ongoing improvement of processes for setting direction, tracking and reporting progress, anticipating and measuring impact, and adjusting approaches based on outcomes and learning.


The position will work closely with other Directors in the Transformation Leadership Office, and corporate support areas including systems optimization, clinical operations, and risk management.

As part of the Transformation Leadership Office, the Director will contribute to continued improvement of our approach to team-based consulting to support organizational change and effectiveness.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides leadership for the development, implementation, communication and ongoing improvement of organizational planning processes.
  • Work in partnership with Executive team and senior leaders to establish annual priorities and track their progress through implementation and benefits realization.
  • Leads a team who is accountable for the development and use of an organizational change registry, including processes to support Executive consideration and decision making about organizational change initiatives.
  • Leads a team responsible for employee performance planning, aligning annual organizational objectives and key results to individual performance planning and results.
  • Provides leadership for a team of project and change managers whose work focuses on strengthening capacity for change and building organizational sustainability.
  • Partner with leaders across Fraser Health to design and implement aligned approaches to strategy development, annual planning, performance monitoring and analytics, evaluation and benefits realization.
  • Establishes and maintains strong connections to operational and content experts in BC health care and planning, as well as maintains a strong network of internal Fraser Health leaders.
  • The Director works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Fraser Health strategy and priorities clear, aligned, communicated and linked with other business processes across the organization.
