Payroll Coordinator

Salary Range:
$57, $64,805.30


Anticipated Starting Salary:
$60,549.09

The Coordinator is responsible for providing information to internal and external customers and responding to employee inquiries related to Payroll such as: time reporting, compensation, leave administration and employee benefits.

This position is also responsible for supporting time administration, including the resolution of errors, to ensure correct employee compensation as per the Main and Component Agreements as applicable to Schedule A and terms and conditions for excluded employees.

Where necessary, the Coordinator, will escalate complex issues as they arise to the Payroll Administrator.

This position functions in an environment where considerable attention to detail is required and is expected to have in depth knowledge.

This position is part of Corporate Shared Services team in a work environment of approximately 162 staff. The Coordinator is customer service oriented and exercises a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and discretion.

An eligibility list may be established to fill similar future vacancies in a full-time temporary or permanent capacity. Temporary positions may become full-time, permanent status. This position is excluded from union membership.


Upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the office's Work Arrangements Policy.
