The Job

Duties and responsibilities:


  • Evaluating and installing computer software, hardware, and operating system software
  • Troubleshooting the computer system and network issues of others
  • Repairing or replacing damaged hardware
  • Upgrading systems to enable software compatibility
  • Installing and upgrading antivirus software and security systems to ensure network security
  • Performing tests and evaluations on software and hardware
  • Performing server and information backups and recovery operations
  • Operating firewalls, file servers, and other computer systems
  • Continually monitoring systems for security breaches and risks
  • Monitoring Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and network segments for security threats
  • Offering information and support to users
  • Maintaining relationships with different employees and departments

Qualifications:


  • Previous working experience as IT Support Technician


  • Enrolled in program

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, engineering or similar relevant field
  • Problem solver and attention to details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Hands on experience with diverse computer systems and networks
  • In depth knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Certification as IT Technician will be a big plus

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$25.00-$27.00 per hour
